GOLF TOURNAMENT BENIFITS SAN BERNARDINO SHERIFF’S VOLUNTEER UNITS ~ OCTOBER 6, 2014

Are you a golfer?  Do you love to Golf? Do you love to donate money to charity? Then stop what you are doing and sign up for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Twin Peaks Station 12th GOLF TOURNAMENT! Monday October 6, 2014

For those of you who do not know, my husband and I are volunteers for the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Search and Rescue.  (See Picture below) This is the two of us at our Basic Training camp.  I wear my orange shirt proud and can honestly say that I am honored to be apart of such an incredible team and family.

In case you were wondering… Search and Rescue is 100% volunteer, NO ONE GETS PAID! Every penny donated to the Rim of the World SAR team is 100% used by the team to help pay for uniforms, equipment and tools needed to be successful searchers. These uniforms are not cheap, so every donation counts and we are forever grateful.

Here are a few of us at the Mountain Top Days Parade in Running Springs.

This tournament benefits 4 volunteer units: Citizens on Patrol, Deputy Reserves, Explorer Scouts and Search and Rescue.  These 4 organizations are apart of the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.

For info on the Golf Tournament please see the flyer below.  This event takes place at the Lake Arrowhead Country Club and includes an awards banquet dinner.

Golf Tournament

On behalf of RIM SAR I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support and donations! If you are unable to attend the tournament or you don’t like to golf, you can still donate money and help benefit all 4 volunteer services.  Please contact the Sheriff’s department in Twin Peaks for more info.

Thank you again and Happy Golfing!

“A Vintage Circus Extravaganza” Lake Arrowhead Le Grande Picnic July 27, 2014

The annual Le Grand Picnic, July 27th, will be held in the MCH Rose Garden, overlooking beautiful Lake Arrowhead.

The event draws over 300 guests for an afternoon of music, great food and the opportunity to bid on both live and silent auction items. For the past two years, we have also included a Reverse Auction portion, structured to raise funds specifically for a much needed hospital equipment item.  This year the Reverse Auction will be raising money for an Omnicell Drug Dispensary Equipment to improve drug safety and security for Mountains Community Hospital patients. This single dose dispensing system protects patients and ensures correct dosage. The Omnicell Dispenser securely stores medications, so nurses only have access to the specific quantity requested. Local restaurants participate by donating food for our guests.

They provided lovely displays of their food specialities, to the delight of our guests. Tickets are $75 per person. all Susie Stuart at 909-436-3210 to inquire or make a reservation!

All information and pictures were pulled right from the MCH Cares website: http://www.mchcares.com/foundation/events/

4th OF JULY in LAKE ARROWHEAD ~ How we do it on the Lake!

America! Land of Free and Home of the Brave! Also home to one heck of a party in Lake Arrowhead California in celebration of Independence Day!!  This year the 4th falls on Friday! Which means for most American’s there is a 3 day weekend.  This blog is to inform you that the firework show will be on Friday after dark (around 9 ish) and there are 4 days of summer concerts (stay tuned for my concert blog on who is playing)! The fireworks are shot off from a barge on the water in front of the village area.  The fireworks can be seen from all around the lake, but seeing them from a boat is one of the best ways!

Here are some pictures from my last years 4th of July festivities!  I feel the need to wear everything red, white and blue along with anything resembling America!

Remember to be safe, DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE and most of all enjoy the day with friends and family!

See you all on the lake or around the village!  Happy 4th!

5th Annual Lake Arrowhead Brewfest ~ August 9, 2014

It is that time of year again to start thinking about the Annual Lake Arrowhead Brewfest!  This year the event will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at noon on the Jensen’s parking lot in Blue Jay.

Last years attendees set a new record, it will be exciting to see how many show up this year!  We want everyone to know about it, so make sure to tell your friends and spread the word.  It is probably a good idea to purchase you ticket in advance if you want to receive a collector taster glass.

Remember that this event is in the dead of summer and the temperatures can get pretty high.  I suggest you drink lots of water and of course do not drink and drive, make sure to get a designated driver. The designated driver Brewfest ticket is only $15.

I look forward to seeing all your faces there, I think I will even give away one free ticket, but you have to be 21 years of age… Remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to qualify for the drawing!
