Heaps Peak Arboretum ~ Celebrates 30 years, OPEN HOUSE June 28/29, 2014

Do you like to visit National Trails?  Did you know that we have lots to see up here in the San Bernardino National forest?!  Here is one that you should check out… Heaps Peak!

Here is some info from their website:

Come and escape the city and visit our unique mountain oasis of natural beauty! Experience the Heaps Peak Arboretum’s gardens, “animal tracks trail,” mini-gift booth, and inquire about educational programs. Heaps Peak Arboretum, located at 6,000′, is open 365 days a year. Free to the public, although the Forest Service requires a daily $5.00 Adventure Pass. The Forest Service requires that you display an Adventure Pass on your vehicle.  There are numerous vendors that sell it in the mountains for $5 per day. Our Forest Information Booth is open Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Here is a flyer that I just received… If you are free this Saturday June 28, take the kids, go for a hike and enjoy a little slice of nature!
